Influencer + Social Marketing Manager

This role will be dedicated to community and communication - growing our following, engagement, traffic and revenue across all relevant social platforms, by nurturing a deep sense of community that grows brand awareness and engagement through influencer + social media marketing. We’re looking for a data + community driven Marketing professional with 5+ years of experience leading Social and Influencer Marketing, bringing a stable of solid relationships - Micro to Macro Influencers specific to each platform: TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc. Must have a proven track record of demonstrated growth at a successful consumer brand.

Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, the Social + Influencer Manager will drive strategy and manage the day-to-day sourcing and execution of Vitamin A’s Influencer Programs across multiple social platforms. This position will be on the front lines building and cementing relationships with influencers, brand ambassadors and commission based social media affiliate partners to drive growth and revenue. The Social + ICM will be both hands-on and collaborative with our external PR Agency to strategically improve influencer outreach, placements and engagement across all owned, earned & paid channels. This role will work strategically and cross collaboratively with brand team on influencer content + social campaigns to optimize reach and engagement based on learnings.

The Cliff Notes:
Influencer Marketing, Community Growth + Engagement
• The most important thing in this role is Community Engagement: Grow, nurture and engage with a community of relevant influencers, brands, charity partners, and Vitamin A fans on all platforms – with an energetic and proactive attitude. Both digitally and IRL.
• Lead the development & execution of multi-faceted influencer strategy designed to improve the full marketing funnel—increasing brand awareness, engagement, and conversion.
• Identify relevant influencers for gifting, campaigns, and ongoing promotions to ensure a solid roster of talent that aligns with our business objectives and brand values.
• Analyze, measure, and report on all influencer activities during + after all gifting and paid engagements to evaluate value and optimize for future initiatives.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies in the influencer and social media ecosystem; identify unicorns and initiate appropriate actions to optimize ROI for the company.
• Actively being "social" on social throughout the day engaging in conversations posts, stories, DMs.

Social Media
• Develop and own the implementation of the overall social media marketing strategy and components to support 360 marketing plans that bolster monthly product launches, brand campaigns, promotions to drive traffic to our website and increase brand awareness and loyalty.
• Translate business strategy and key products into social content calendar and influencer activations.
• Develop clear data-driven goals (and identify the roadmap + tactics required to meet the goals) for social media programs and campaigns that align with overall brand priorities and financial targets.
• Ideate against specific-to-platform features (i.e., TikTok IG, IG Stories, FB, Pinterest, YT, Linkedin, etc).
• Curate weekly posts and captions, using a mix of pre-approved, UGC and partner content.
• Brief and collaborate with content producer and brand team on content creation rooted in analytics and trends. Hands-on content execution, as needed (TikTok, IG Stories, etc).
• Weekly and Monthly reporting on social + influencer KPIs, bringing a level of analysis to improve performance and increase share of voice.
• Tap into community feedback and consumer trends to plan, test and launch disruptive social activations and initiatives.
• Contribute to ideation of social media campaigns and brand marketing activations.

Performance Marketing + Affiliate

• Connect Influencer Strategy with Performance Marketing, creating a plan for influencer activations through paid channels, both through owned and influencer channels (dark posts).
• Connect + Collaborate with Content Manager + Influencers to create performance driven content that drives traffic and grows revenue
• Build and nurture social influencer affiliate program via GRIN, developing a roster of partners who drive traffic and convert
• Collaborate on blogger partnerships and cross-promotion opportunities via ecom affiliates, Rewardstyle/, etc
• Stay abreast on best practices for commissions, and collab communication standards.
• Report on monthly KPIs, and manage budget / pay outs with finance team.

What You'll Need:
• 5+ years in brand marketing with a focus in influencer marketing, and a proven track record of growth on various social media platforms (i.e.Instagram, Pinterest, FB, Youtube, TikTok)
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or equivalent preferred
• A natural “people person,” skilled at building and nurturing relationships, and balancing many priorities—always doing so with a good attitude
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the principles of advertising, marketing and digital media; experience in negotiate rates with partners
• An expert in the best practices and nuances of all relevant social platforms, as well as various formats, including static images, reels, videos and animations, GIFs, and more.
• Proactive problem-solving skills; ability to anticipate obstacles and also quickly generate alternate solutions/ideas and change course as needed.
• Energetic and comfortable with fluid role, jumping in and out of social + different projects throughout the day
• Ability to post + monitor social feeds off hours and over weekends.
• Fluency with analytics and applying data to optimize strategy.
• Displays an understanding of the Vitamin A brand, our products, customer and mission
• Strategic thinker willing to push the envelope and bring fresh, innovative ideas to life
• Keen eye for aesthetics, branding and photography
• Collaborative team-player

This is a full-time position based in Costa Mesa, Southern California. Work from home flexibility, as approved by supervisors.
